Lanchkhuti Information Center
Lanchkhuti Information Center was originally established on June 16, 2001, as the union "Association of Sakrebulos of Lanchkhuti District" and was registered at the Lanchkhuti District Court (Registration No. 40/5/8-21). In 2003, the organization underwent reorganization, and on May 8 of the same year, it was re-registered at the Lanchkhuti District Court as the union "Lanchkhuti Information Center" (hereinafter "LIC"). The registration number is 40/5/ზ-33.
Mission: The mission of the Lanchkhuti Information Center is to inform the rural population about the activities of local self-government, increase their involvement in decision-making processes, and raise civic awareness. The center aims to promote the protection of their interests, improve their socio-economic conditions, and support the sustainable development of rural areas.
To achieve this mission, LIC works in close cooperation with the public, private, and civil sectors at local, central, and international levels.
Goals of LIC:
- Promotion of local development;
- Supporting local self-government bodies and citizens in exercising their powers, while increasing the accountability and transparency of governing bodies;
- Supporting the development of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs);
- Promoting youth development;
- Stimulating the introduction and use of modern technologies.
Structure and Experience LIC employs 5 staff members and 9 volunteers. The organization's activities are managed by the Executive Director, who is accountable to the Board. Since its establishment, the organization has successfully implemented 33 large and small-scale projects focused on local development.
